A Magnificent Porcelain Collectors Plate by artist Fred Stone entitled THE SHOE-8,000 WINS. This is a wonderful portrait of the late jockey Bill Shoemaker. THESE PLATES ARE SCARCE AND RARELY SHOW UP ON EBAY .  The back of the plate reads: "He started out life in a shoe box. Bill Shoemaker never did get much bigger, but when they put him on a horse, he became a giant".. This is just a sample of more than 150 words which describe The Shoe -8,000 Wins. This porcelain plate is 10 1/4 inches in diameter and is banded in 24k gold etched border of running race horses.

This edition was limited to 9,500 plates. Accompanied with a Certificate of Authenticity which was issued by Graphics Buying Service.
