SECRETARIAT - Silverplated Horse Coin Pendant necklace
"It was if God decided to make the perfect racehorse" said an awestruck Chick Lang when he first saw Secretariat run. And the horse fulfilled that promise all the way to The Triple Crown and beyond. Never before has there been a horse with the charisma, sex appeal, and pizzazz that Secretariat had. Secretariat never actually defied nature. He was not her rival, but her gift. Sixteen years later felled by Laminitis, and buried at Claiborne Farm opposite the famed horse Swale, Ed Bowen said of the great chestnut, "He had moved us to tears before, and now in death he has again."
This is a solid brass coin that was plated in silver and is mounted in a silver plated over-lay bezel, with a matching 18 inch chain. The front of the coin reads Secretariat at the top and Triple Crown Winner on the bottom. The back of the coin has a crown in the middle and around it are the words "Kentucky Derby", "Preakness", and "Belmont". The Year 1973 is on the bottom of the coin.
This pendant is magnificently presented in a luxurious velour gift case. Makes a fabulous present for any horse lover. Actual diameter including bezel is 1 1/2 inches.
